Since its founding in 1846, Grinnell College has thrived in no small measure due to the generosity of generations of alumni and friends. This exhibition features gifts of art the College has received through the years, celebrating the crucial and direct contribution of the gifts of alumni and friends to the education of new generations of Grinnellians, and to the visual delight of the broader Grinnell community. Works include 19th, 20th, and 21st-century painted portraits; a mobile by Alexander Calder; prints by Joan Miro, Enrique Chagoya, and Jenny Holzer; and photographs by Sandy Skoglund and Andy Goldsworthy.
