DIANE FAVRO is Distinguished Research Professor of Architecture and Urban Design at UCLA.  Her research works include The Urban Image of Augustan Rome (Cambridge University Press, 1996), Roman Architecture and Urban Design (co-authored with Fikret Yegül, Cambridge University Press, 2019), award-winning digital visualizations, and numerous writings on ancient architecture, urban laws and administration, the experience of ancient cities, gender issues in architecture, and methods of architectural history. Among various honors she was named Samuel H. Kress Professor at the National Gallery of Art, James Ackerman Resident at the American Academy in Rome, and Fellow of the Society of Architectural Historians.  Dr. Favro served as President of the Society of Architectural Historians, Director of the Experiential Technologies Center, and Associate Dean, Academic Affairs, for the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture.
